学生健康 & 健康
CEA believes that students’ health and wellness during their time abroad has a measurable impact on their cultural adaptation, as well as their academic success. Students who are struggling with their health may miss class, be less involved in the 当地社区, and miss out on having a positive cultural experience because they are simply not feeling well.
The CEA 健康 Information Form is a required task for students to complete through their MyCEA Account. We hope that students self-report their medical conditions, 药物, 过敏, 饮食偏好, and accommodation needs for their time abroad. All information is kept in confidence and used to help prepare students for their experience abroad, investigate reasonable support services and accommodations, as well as better assist them in the event of a medical emergency. 的成员 东航的健康 & 安全团队 may individually contact a student to discuss their unique concerns or requests.
In recognizing the holistic nature of the student experience, CEA supports all aspects of student development through the lens of physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, and occupational wellness. 东航旅行, 学术活动, 学生参与活动, and office hours are tools that CEA onsite staff use to foster student connectivity and understanding about personal wellness.
健康 Care and Insurance Abroad
CEA onsite staff are trained in student affairs and emergency response, and they will refer students to local professionals according to a student’s need or preference. CEA partners with Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) to provide international health insurance coverage for a student’s emerging health needs during their CEA program. This plan allows students to seek 护理 from any medical provider and then request reimbursement for those out-of-pocket health护理 and pharmacy 成本. In case of serious injury or illness requiring hospitalization, 护理 is coordinated through AXA Travel Assist, our emergency assistance provider, with a guarantee of payment so out-of-pocket expenses do not impede a student from receiving emergency 护理. CISI covers students from the program start date through the program end date, and students can extend their coverage for 30 days (at their own cost) at the end of the program.
Benefits include (but are not limited to):
- Medical Care: Unlimited coverage (西班牙) and $500,000 (other CEA locations), with no deductible
- Mental Illness: $10,000 Outpatient/$25,000 Inpatient
- Emergency Medical Reunion: $5,000
- 意外死亡 & 解体:10000美元
- Personal Liability: $100,000 max per occurrence
- Emergency Medical Evacuation: $250,000 max per occurrence
